Privacy Policy
This policy explains the information collected through accounts, course applications, learning activity, and training requests.
This policy is published in draft while the platform is being built, and it describes what the site does today rather than what it may do later. A lawyer has not reviewed it. Privileged access accounts are open and nothing on this site takes payment. This page will be reviewed and dated again as the platform grows, and anyone who has given us an email address will be told before anything here changes in a way that affects them.
The short version
This site runs two third-party scripts and no advertising. Google Analytics counts visits so we know which courses people actually open, and TrustedSite shows the trust badge in the corner. Neither is used to build a profile of you, we sell nothing to anybody, and reading the course pages needs no account.
What we collect
Account information includes your name, email, profile details, and saved course work and progress. Course applications also collect your company, job title, current projects, and learning goals. Required and optional fields are identified on each form.
Team-training requests collect your name, work email, company, team size, selected courses, and any goals or dates you provide. Academy administrators can read these requests to arrange training. You do not need an account to submit one.
Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs, which include IP addresses, for a short period and for the purpose of running and securing the service. We do not use them to build a picture of individual visitors.
Why we collect it
Your name and email exist so you can sign in and so we can tell you about something that affects your account. Your saved work exists so it is there when you come back. The optional questions exist so we know which roles are actually turning up, which is how the next course gets chosen. They are used in aggregate and they do not change what you are shown.
The limits we hold to
Your data stays with us. It goes to no advertiser and no data broker, it trains no model, and your saved work is read only where you have asked somebody to look at it. Email from us is about your account or something you asked for.
Who else touches it
Running a service means using other companies for parts of it. Supabase holds the database and the accounts, Vercel serves the site, and Google Analytics receives the page views described above. Each processes data on our instructions for the purpose it is named for here.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is open, and then no longer. Close your account and the account and the work stored against it are deleted.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to weigert.roan@gmail.com. We will not ask you why, and there is no charge. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to a data protection regulator.
Cookies
Two kinds. If you have an account we set cookies to keep you signed in. Google Analytics sets its own to count a visit once rather than twice, and you can refuse them with any browser setting or extension that blocks analytics without losing anything on this site.
